Building A Better Black Nightlife Scene
in the City of Boston?
Is it possible? What do WE need to do to make IT better? Join Boston's leading promoters, club owners, artists, college students, young professionals, club-goers, security, party enthusiasts, dancers, and bartenders on a discussion about Building the Boston Black Nightlife Scene.
BACKGROUND
For decades, Boston has been plagued with a Nightlife scene that has not been conducive to people of color especially Blacks. Boston has struggled with its image as a city unfriendly to its African American residents. Historically, black professionals have come (or returned) to Boston to work, only to leave within a couple o f years because of the lack of opportunities to connect, network, and appreciate our cultural identity. We are trying to change that!
