Introduction to the black side.............

For a while I have been concerned that the black side of life and design here in the city of boston gets overlooked. In a city that is 51% minority with a Black Governor, why do we have to work so hard to know about all the exciting things that are happening in the city? Therefore the goal of this blog is to pass along information about events, activities, job opportunities and restaurant reviews from a minority perspective. The Black side or hidden side of life and design here in Boston is the scope of what you will find in the posts. And some occasional commentary will also make its way to the web. Enjoy!

Over the course of this fall, we will be conducting a series of Friday afternoon Educational Symposia in the following areas: Continuing Education and Certificates, Thesis, Foundation Studies, Distance/Online Learning, Practice, and Global Studies and Affiliations.

As we have been able to achieve progress in implementing our Strategic Plan, a number of new programs and program refinements have come into being. We would like to share our thinking, our achievements, and our challenges with you.
 
These forums will be held on Friday afternoons from 2:00 – 5:00, with a formal staff presentation and discussion from 2:00 – 3:30. These sessions will inform us as to what we have done in the past, where we are now, and what is proposed. Open discussion will follow, from 3:30 – 5:00, including a question and answer session open to all.
