For a while I have been concerned that the black side of life and design here in the city of boston gets overlooked. In a city that is 51% minority with a Black Governor, why do we have to work so hard to know about all the exciting things that are happening in the city? Therefore the goal of this blog is to pass along information about events, activities, job opportunities and restaurant reviews from a minority perspective. The Black side or hidden side of life and design here in Boston is the scope of what you will find in the posts. And some occasional commentary will also make its way to the web. Enjoy!

Restaurant Review Blog

A small group of people will be participating in a monthly restaurant and bar blog. The group will review on restaurants and bars from a black perspective. In addition to a commentary on the food, the group will critique the diversity and interaction that occurs or doesn't occur and post their comments in the form a review blog.

The group is responding to the need for people from minority communities to share information about one their experiences in the city but also places they go which are fun exciting. At the same time minorities in Boston are meet with rude behavior from establishments. Is this real? or just a lingering perception of race relations since busing?

The group tentatively plans to meet the fourth week of the month for a drink or dinner.

Now obviously person from all minority groups are invited. I think getting a diverse group together for drinks and food will be fun especially with this spin.
