Introduction to the black side.............

For a while I have been concerned that the black side of life and design here in the city of boston gets overlooked. In a city that is 51% minority with a Black Governor, why do we have to work so hard to know about all the exciting things that are happening in the city? Therefore the goal of this blog is to pass along information about events, activities, job opportunities and restaurant reviews from a minority perspective. The Black side or hidden side of life and design here in Boston is the scope of what you will find in the posts. And some occasional commentary will also make its way to the web. Enjoy!

Please join us on September 15 from 6-8pm for a celebration of the opening of the Pinkcomma Gallery as well as a chance to see office space of our firm, over, under. Pinkcomma is a new—literally underground—gallery dedicated to showcasing Boston's emerging design culture. We are hosting our first exhibition this weekend for the South End Open Studios, with support from ArchitectureBoston and the Boston Society of Architects.

The show includes reproductions of design sketches from Boston City Hall's original architects as well as the work of five young design firms that have created proposals for rethinking the structure as it stands today. See the attached invitation for more information or visit our website. We are located near the corner of Wareham and Albany Streets. Look for the big pink comma.
